Remote Monitoring & Management
Alerting, patching, agent health, and endpoint visibility standards
An RMM platform is only as good as its coverage. The gap that hurts is rarely the tool itself, it is the twelve machines that never got an agent, the alert rule nobody has looked at since the technician who wrote it left, and the patch ring that has been silently failing since a reboot policy changed.
This library turns those blind spots into scheduled checks with an owner and a due date, so the state of your estate is something you can show rather than something you believe.
What this library checks
- Agent deployment coverage measured against your actual asset inventory, not against the RMM console
- Patch approval rings, deferral windows and the machines that consistently fall out of them
- Alert rules, thresholds and where each alert actually lands when it fires out of hours
- Agent health, check-in gaps and devices that have gone quiet
- Script and automation inventory, including what runs with elevated rights
- Third-party application patching separate from operating system patching
Evidence you will be asked for
Every check in Spectra Core carries its own evidence. These are the artefacts an auditor, insurer or board most often wants to see for this area.
- Coverage report showing managed devices against total known assets
- Patch compliance percentage by ring, with named exceptions and their reasons
- Screenshot of alert routing configuration and the on-call destination
Where this usually goes wrong
RMM coverage decays quietly. Nothing breaks the day an agent stops reporting, so nobody notices until the month a ransomware incident turns that one unmanaged machine into the entry point.
Run this library against your environment
Every check comes with a risk level, a review frequency, an assignee and a plain-language rationale, so the output reads for leadership as well as for engineers.
